It means choosing foods that are as unprocessed as possible, including fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and high quality proteins.
Food truly is healing when you strip away all the junk and get back to nature. For instance, eating a diet high in fiber, avoiding inflammatory foods (like dairy, gluten, soy, and sugar), keeping alcohol and caffeine to a minimum, and eating fermented foods, are all ways to strengthen your gut health, and in turn your overall health and wellness.
